No More Mr. Nice Guy recovery groups
Facilitated by Roger Nix, Certified No More Mr. Nice Guy coach
The groups meet once a week for one and a half hours. The focus of the sessions will center on NMMNG issues. The time you will spend in a group is important but of equal importance is the chance you will have to connect with each other outside of group, via an ongoing group, “WhatApp” text conversation.
Groups, whether live or virtual, all have the opportunity to build a deep level of connection and support. You will become a unit… this is a real gift so do your best to connect with your other group members.
Every group will start with and check-in. A check-in will consist of:
- Review of the week in general
- How the week went in terms of recovery and stretch goals
- What the man wants to work on tonight if time allows
After the check-in any questions or challenges about the last weeks work, information or stretch goals will be addressed by the facilitator and the group. With the remaining time the facilitator will work with as many men as possible on individual issues. The session will end with a brief check-out about how the session was received and if they chose to announce a stretch goal. At this time a man may ask for specific support by other group members during the week.
It is very important to have a quiet place with a good internet connection and to use head phones if at all possible.
We will work with you to solve any technical issues (there will be technical issue!) Part of the process is showing up and making the group a valuable experience for all.
