“Being integrated means being able to accept all aspects of one’s self. An integrated man is able to embrace everything that makes him unique: his power, his assertiveness, his courage, and his passion, as well as his imperfections, his mistakes, and his dark side.” Dr. Robert Glover, No More Mr. Nice Guy
Recovery from the Nice Guy Syndrome – any kind of recovery – is not about becoming a better man or getting rid of anything. Most of us have been trying to do both since childhood. Recovery is about becoming more “you.”
You don’t have to become a better you to be liked, be loved, get your needs met, or have a good life. You just have to be you. It is actually all the things that you have tried to become or tried to eliminate or hide about you that have gotten in your way all of these years.
This workshop will help you rediscover, accept, embrace, love – and be – you.
We are all pretty much alike:
How to embrace your “why”
How to use resistance to inform you of what is most important to you
How to live with intention rather than goals
How to release shame and negative self-talk
How to handle rejection
How to play
How to embrace and overcome fear
How to let others know you and get close to you
How to celebrate your sexuality
How to determine and live by your core values
How to embrace compassion for self and others
How to live with passion
How to be authentic and honest
How to overcome your self-limiting beliefs and break through your glass ceilings
How to live with commitment
How to let go of attachment to outcome and the suffering it creates
How to find your sweet spot in life and spend as much time there as possible
How to be happy (at least some of the time)
Loving-kindness toward ourselves doesn’t mean getting rid of anything. It means that we can still be crazy after all these years. We can still be angry after all these years. We can still be timid or jealous or full of feelings of unworthiness. The point is not to try to change ourselves …(it) isn’t about trying to throw ourselves away and become something better. It’s about befriending who we are already.

In particular, I found the masculine and feminine chart especially life altering. I have the chart saved in my blackberry, I plastered on my wall at home in my office, and have it with me wherever I go. I even refer to it when I'm on dates! This one topic alone has changed the way I look at my life, the way I see women, and my relationship with women.
Besides having a mind blowing weekend of information, I also met a great group of guys who I intend to stay in touch with for years to come. The amazing seminar is one thing, but no amount of materialism or money can replace the relationships and friendships formed during this weekend. Oh, I almost forgot to mention spending an awesome weekend in the sun in Puerto Vallarta was also a huge bonus.
I totally recommend this weekend to anyone who is interested in improving their lives, personal growth, forming great new friendships that can last a lifetime, and taking their life to the next level. I feel like a completely new person and plan to live my life in a way I never dreamed of thanks to the TPI weekend. Thanks again!!!"Brian Young, Toronto, Canada
